Welcome to On bride | Kids + Family
Let’s face it, for the bride at least, their wedding day may very well be one of the most important days of their lives. It’s very likely something you’ve dreamed about since you were a small child, and even in our post-modern society, many women still cherish that single day more than any other. With that, it’s a definite must to make the wedding a special day.
In this article we will cover 5 must have items for wedding brides. We won’t be covering anything spectacular, and we definitely won’t be covering “something old, something borrowed, and something blue”. What we will give you, are five ideas that will become keepsakes for years to come. Really these are items that any modern bride simply must have!
5 Must-Haves for Wedding Brides
With the wedding being so important, it is something you will want to remember forever. Here are 5 things that should be on your list to buy, so that you can cherish those memories for years to come.
1. Guestbook – Whatever you do, don’t forget the guest book. Keep the guestbook open at the entrance to the wedding, and have someone there to ensure people fill it out. That way you’ll have a list of everyone who attended you wedding.
2. Cake Cutter – A cake cutter is a nice keepsake (and you’re going to have to cut the cake anyway). If you don’t want to splurge on that expensive cutter from the wedding shop, buy one from a cutlery isle, and take it to the engravers.
3. Toasting Glasses – Glasses for the wedding party can make a great collectible from your wedding. Engraved crystal, silver-rimmed glasses (even just for the bride and groom), don’t have to cost a lot of money. They do make an item that you can keep for years after the wedding though.
4. The Veil – The veil is another item that can make a great keepsake from your special day. It’s likely something you will keep around for many years to come, and every time you see it you can remember that one special moment when two were joined as one!
5. A Camcorder – Finally, don’t forget a camcorder! Everyone hires a photographer (and you should), but some forget how simple it is to catch all of that action with a simple video camera. If you don’t own one, borrow one. Those videos will be the best method you have to remember your special day.
If you take the time to make these 5 items a part of your wedding, you will have 5 more keepsakes that you can look back on whenever you want. Keeping those memories fresh doesn’t have to be difficult at all.
